Paranjape Motiwale High School, Chiplun

A 7.37 kWp solar PV system, consisting of 22 panels, has been installed on the rooftop of the school. The system is expected to generate 9,802 units of electricity in the first year. As a result, the school will save approximately Rs. 71,555 on their electricity bill during the same period. Additionally, this will help the school reduce its carbon emissions by 8.8 MTCO2e.

About the School

Shriram Education Society was established in 1959 with a mission to provide educational opportunities to students from economically and socially disadvantaged families from the Chiplun Industrial area. Shriram Education Society runs two schools on the same premise: 1) Sou Aparna Ashok Mehendal for classes I-IV and 2) Paranajape Motiwale High School for classes V-X. The school is government-aided and affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board.Over 700 students from Grades 1 to 10 are currently enrolled, receiving quality education entirely free of cost. The classes in the school have been digitized to provide various activities for the educational development of these students and to provide a good learning experience for all students.
