About the School

Nutan Bal Shikshan Sangh’s (NBSS) Vikaswadi Primary School was established in Kosbad in 1926 to provide pre-primary and primary education through nontraditional methods to the tribal children of the Palghar District. The school hosts students from the 1st to 8th standards and is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board. In 1957, the D.Ed college was added to the school’s portfolio so that teachers could be trained to effectively execute the school’s education model. With a total strength of more than 470 students across both the school and D.Ed. college, the institution serves students from grade 1 to grade 8 under the Maharashtra State Board curriculum.
