Masina Hospital

A total of 51.87 kWp has been installed at Masina Hospital with 57 solar PV modules each, on the MMC and Kharas buildings. With this installation, the hospital will generate approx. 72,600 units of clean electricity annually and save Rs. 6,50,000 every year from its electricity bill. This system will also result in reducing carbon emission to the tune of 58.09 MTCO2e annually.

About the Hospital

Masina Hospital was started by Dr. Hormasji Manekji Masina in 1902 as a small institution with only 4 patients. In 1907, the trust acquired the Palace building in Byculla where Masina Hospital stands today. It is a 280-bed multispecialty hospital offering services in fields such as cardiology, ophthalmology, chemotherapy, psychiatry and drug rehabilitation. Over the past 100 years, the hospital has made several valuable contributions to the healthcare sector in Mumbai.
