Mehernosh Boman Burjor Irani Educational Academy

A total of 25.11 kWp solar PV system, consisting of 62 panels, has been installed at the M.B.B. Irani Educational Academy. The system is expected to generate 35,154 units of electricity in the first year. As a result, the school is estimated to save Rs. 3,82,476 during the same period, which will offset 28.12 metric tons CO2 equivalent emissions.

About the Institute

Established by the Mehernosh Boman Burjor Irani Educational Trust (MBBIET), the M.B.B Irani Educational Academy (MBBIEA) is a school located in Vejvi, a town in the Palghar District close to the Gujarat border. With the mission to provide ‘holistic education to build character and develop talents in a nurturing environment’, the school offers primary, secondary, and junior-college level education to students of the area. The school is co-ed and affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Education. The school educates more than 3000 students and also supports students from tribal households while offering completely free education to some of its students. Apart from that, the school also supports a couple of students with special needs.
