S.C.D. Barfivala High School
A total of 35.31 kW solar PV system was designed and installed with a total of 66 panels, which are expected to generate 49,400 units of electricity in the first year. The school is estimated to save an average of Rs. 4,49,000 from their electricity bill annually and generation a reduction in carbon emissions of 912 MTCO2e.
About the School
The Seth Chunilal Damodardas Barfiwala (SCDB) High School in Andheri, Mumbai was established in 1962. It is part of Cosmopolitan Education Society which also runs Shri Balkrishna Valia Pre-Primary School, Smt Nirmala Harilal Valia Primary School.
The school places significant emphasis on arts and crafts, music and movement and nature-oriented activities for its younger students and on self-awareness and critical thinking for its older students.
