G.J. Patel Institute of Ayurvedic Studies and Research
A total of 15.17 kW solar PV system was designed and installed with a total of 370 panels being installed. The institution is expected to generate 21,200 units of electricity in the first year which will lead to a saving of Rs. 1,58,000 from their electricity bill. Additionally the system will lead to a reduction in carbon emissions to the tune of 380 MTCO2e in its lifespan.
About the Institution
The Govindbhai Jorabhai Patel Institute of Ayurvedic Studies and Research was established in 2006. It is the first English-medium Ayurvedic college in the state of Gujarat. The Institute carries out interdisciplinary research at the intersection of modern technology and ancient Ayurvedic traditions and currently hosts around 460 students. It is part of the Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) group of Institutes in Anand.
