United English School, Chiplun
A total system of 32.6 kW solar PV system consisting of 96 panels was installed on the metal sheet on the terraces of the school building. The system is expected to generate 45,640 units of electricity in the first year wherein it’s estimated to save Rs. 3,33,172 from their electricity bill during the same year. Moreover, it will result in the reduction of 40.98 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent emissions.
About the Institute
Parshuram Education Society (PES), a 100-year-old institution, was established in the year 1918. A reputed educational institution located in Ratnagiri district, its mission is to provide excellent educational facilities to the students in the district. Parshuram Education Society runs the United School Campus in Markandi, Chiplun. The United School campus includes pre-primary, primary, secondary, as well as a higher secondary section. It collectively educates around 4000 students every year. It is affiliated with the State Board of Maharashtra and is partly aided by the Government.
