Sane Guruji Primary School

A total of 25 kWp solar PV system, consisting of 46 panels have been installed at the Sane Guruji Primary School. The system is expected to generate 35,098 units of electricity in the first year. As a result, the school is estimated to save Rs. 2,94,823 during the same period, which will offset 31.52 metric tons CO2 equivalent emissions.

About the School

Maharashtra Arogya Mandal (MAM) was established in 1960 by 5 young doctors who were led by Dr. Dada Gujar, who nurtured a dream to develop and support strong institutions for rural Medicare. Initially focused on preventive healthcare, which eventually widened the scope of work in support areas like sanitation, education, water conservation and tribal development. MAM’s Sane Guruji School was set up in 1975 to provide English medium education at highly subsidised rates to the communities in Hadapsar across all social classes. Today, the school educates over 1,800 students, providing a strong academic foundation and opportunities for extra-curricular engagement and holistic development. The primary school is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board, with students studying in grades up to the 7th Standard.
